Answer :

It depends. I read of a man who shaved his head for psoriasis relief and then regretted it because he worked at a convenience store. People were nervous because of the appearance. It shouldn’t matter, but if you’re likely to be upset by reactions, then don’t do it unless the relief you get overrides people being ugly.

In my case, I just went bald, scalp psoriasis 11 plus years. Used trimmer at 1mm setting. Pros You will be able to get rid of all the build up flakes. It is easier to put topical and shampoo. I use actual aloe Vera gel straight from plant to keep it under control. It works very well. Because the build up is gone u don’t get the urge to scratch the scalp. It’s a big relief Cons No hairstyle. In serious flare up it is very difficult to hide the flakes. My recommendation. If you had a flare up recently go bald use topicals ,aloe lifestyle changes to bring it under control then start growing your hair out again. I usually go bald in winter when psoriasis is at peak but due to COVID my flare up got severe so had to do it. The pros outweigh the cons so I recommend you to do it. Make sure you do not go out in sun without a cap if bald.
